De Beemster B.V. is a sponsor of a walker participating in Alpe d'HuZes

4 juni 2026 - Chocolatefactory "De Beemster" B.V. is proud to announce that we sponsored a walker who took part in the KWF event Alpe d’HuZes. This event raises as much money as possible for cancer research and to improve the quality of life for people with cancer. On the first Thursday of June, 5,000 participants cycled, ran or walked up Alpe d’Huez.

A tremendously brave challenge in the name of charity, something De Beemster B.V. is a strong supporter of. When the management was informed that a family member would be undertaking this journey, the company decided to act as a sponsor.

We are delighted to report that this 16-year-old young lady conquered the mountain twice and raised a total well above her target amount. She did this together with classmates on behalf of their school.

We would like to thank her very much for her perseverance and willingness to dedicate herself to KWF Kankerbestrijding. As the organisation itself so aptly puts it, “Giving up is not an option,” and we couldn’t agree more.
